International Day of Yoga is celebrated on 21st June every year worldwide. Bollywood celebs are often seen working out at gyms, but some of them believe in practising yoga in their daily routine in order to stay fit. 1. Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna
One of the fittest celebrities of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has learnt Martial Arts and is a black-belt in Taekwondo. This is probably the reason why he prefers to remain fit. He is known for his amazing energy even at this age because he practices yoga, running, swimming and other activities to stay fit. His wifey, Twinkle Khanna reflects his ideologies and does yoga and meditation with her hubby!
2. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan
Bollywood’s Nawab and Begum are very much into fitness. But they do not just do gymming or running, but are also a fan of practising yoga together. The couple ensures of having their core strong and body flexible by doing an intense workout which includes yoga, running and other activities. They have talked many a time how yoga benefitted them. In fact, Kareena Kapoor shared that even Taimur watches the duo doing yoga together!
3. Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover
Bollywood couple Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover are both fitness freaks. They are often known to team up for power workouts together. They have often shared their ‘couple workout’ videos and pictures doing impressive asanas. They are often spotted at gyms and believe in doing yoga and that too together!
4. Abigail Pande and Sanam Johar
Television actress Abigail Pande also loves to do acro yoga with her choreographer partner Sanam Johar. She says she is so much obsessed with yoga that sometimes she spends six to eight hours of her day in the practice. She says “Sanam is a dancer and he loves yoga too. So we both started doing acro yoga and is fun for both of us to train together. The idea is to keep doing what we love while spending time with each other.” The duo keeps sharing their pictures on social media doing acro yoga. Their pictures can give you major couple goals!
5. Aashka Goradia and Brent Goble
Television actress Aashka Goradia and her husband Brent Goble often share their couple yoga pictures inspiring everyone to stay fit. Not many of us would know that Brent is a trained yoga practitioner and he was the one who reintroduced yoga to Aashka. She says, “I used to do yoga, but it was Brent who reintroduced me to it, so I have been learning a lot about asanas from him. I always tell people that yoga not just helps you maintain physical fitness and improves body flexibility, it is also important for mental fitness. I think you learn to coordinate and understand each other better when you do yoga together. We post pictures and videos of us doing yoga together only to give out the message that we all should make it a part of our lifestyle.”
