There are many places in Delhi which are believed to have experience some strange happenings with anguished and blood-curdling noises. 1. Agrasen ki Baoli

It is one of creepiest haunted places in Delhi. It is considered to be a residence of evil. It is believed to be built by the King Agrasen. It has three stories and 108 steps that lead to a step well. The deeper you go, farther you will go from the world. Spooky right? The well was believed to be filled with black water which hypnotized people and lured them to commit suicide by drowning in it. However, the well is dried up now. Rumours say that a strong presence is felt at the certain depth and some creepy noises are heard.

2. Delhi Cantonment Area

Of one of the many places believed to be haunted, Delhi Cantt’s name is definitely in the top 10. The Delhi Cantonment area is rumored to be haunted by a ghostly woman dressed in a white saree. She is believed to be wandering and hitch-hiking on the roads. She asks for the lift from the passers-by. People say, those who offer her the lift, were never seen again; those who didn’t stop, she would start running with or behind the vehicle with the same speed as that of the vehicle and those who asked her the way, were lost in the city circling around and could never find their way to home.

3. The Northen Ridge

This is indeed one of the scariest places in Delhi. It is near the Delhi University’s north campus area. The forest area is believed to be haunted by a colonial-era British man. The spirit of british man with a rifle haunts the area. It makes people feel many a times that they are being followed and watched. Some even reported that they were slapped by a lady who appears and disappears in the air. Some said that they were being pushed or pulled by an unknown force.

4. Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal

This place is located in the heart of Delhi. Bhuli Bhatiyari ka Mahal is a haunting lodge built by Feroz Shah Tughlaq in 14th century. The place is believed to be spooky as strange noises and whispers in the middle of the night are heard there. Some people also reported to have experienced ghostly appearances.

5. Feroz Shah Kotla Fort

As per the belief, this 14th century fort is rumoured to be haunted by Djinns. The moment people enter the fort, they feel an eerie presence. Some people reported that they were suddenly pushed and thrashed and then they could smell strange fragrances. Few claims for being followed by some identity till their houses. There is something unique about this place that people actually pray to these Djinns and write their wishes on the paper believing that those Djinns will fulfil their wishes.

6. Khooni Darwaza

Khooni Darwaza, also called Bloody Gate is rumoured to be haunted by some unaccounted spirits. It is believed that Bahadur Shah Zafar was excuted here in public by the British and brutal muders of three princes were also undertaken by Englishmen here. Stories of hanging of freedom fighters also prevails here. Screams and cries of people are are rumoured to be heard. However, people say that the spirits doesn’t cause any disturbance to the Indians and rather haunt the foreign tourists who visit there.
