CM Yogi emerged as star campaigner for BJP after PM Modi

Yogi Adityanath has emerged with an image of firebrand leader in the country. Many were also taken by surprise when Yogi Adityanath was chosen as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.He is also a well-known political face in the country. In the coming months, there are assembly elections in two different states of the country. One is Himachal Pradesh while the other big one is Gujarat. Besides, Narendra Modi BJP needs some ideal face to reach out to BJP’s traditional voters in upcoming Assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. At present, Yogi Adityanath is the only go-to man in the BJP who can better head the election campaigning.

What makes him endearing in the party?

Yogi’s crowd pulling capacity and the image of pure Hindutva agenda has made him a perfect BJP, RSS cadre. The popularity of the UP CM could be seen by the fact that his popularity ratings were second only to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in internal surveys by the party. Currently, BJP’s vikas model is under attack by the congress, the firebrand leader Yogi is being pitched to keep traditional (Hindu) voters in good humor.

Earlier, this month Yogi had already held a roadshow in Kerala and Gujarat where he gathered the party workers of the state. Yogi had also joined the BJP chief Amit Shah during his ‘Jan Raksha Yatra’ to protest the killing of RSS-BJP workers in Kerala.

Why is Yogi in demand?

According to many leaders in the party, they think that people outside the Uttar Pradesh keen to know more about Adityanath and that has created a demand for him during campaigning. A large number of people working in Gujarat belongs to eastern Uttar Pradesh and the BJP wants to attract them by using the Yogi card.Apart from CM Yogi, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dinesh Sharma and some other cabinet ministers will also address the election campaign in both the states.

Well, Yogi’s name is included in the BJP list of star campaigners for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections. Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there are some union ministers like Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj, J P Nadda, Thawar Chand Gehlot, Smriti Irani, Uma Bharti, Vijay Sampla and V K Singh who will address the election campaign in Himachal Pradesh.
