Lalu out, Nitish is CM with BJP again

The high-voltage political drama in Bihar for a day and night ended with new government of state with same CM, but with different party after snapping ties with the older ones, collectively called Mahagathbandhan.

Yesterday, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar resigned and today after getting support from BJP and its allies formed a new government. The agenda cited for the resignation is the corruption cases against Lalu’s family members, including Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

After a gap of four years, Nitish Kumar comes back in BJP led NDA fold. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed this move of Bihar CM. On the other hand, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has accused Nitish Kumar of betraying the mandate given by the people in the assembly elections and also accused him of heinous crime, such as murder.

The Congress, an ally in the government, criticized Mr Kumar’s move as a rank opportunistic politician and said he betrayed the people’s mandate. While, the BJP is feeling to have won the state after a gap of 20 months and its top leader from the state Sushil Kumar Modi has been given deputy CM position once again.

The social media is terming this move of Bihar CM as #NitishGharWapsi.
