If you only had quick 30 seconds to use only one beauty product in the morning, which product would you pick first? If you’re a beauty-product enthusiast who can barely answer that tricky question without having a panic attack, then we feel you. But you have to admit, concealer may be the first product on your mind (maybe). It’s one of those exact lifesavers that really fix many of your biggest world problems: scary blemishes, under eye circles, scarring and dullness—the list goes on further. It’s probably the one product most would agree makes her face look better. Since it’s such a staple, we thought we’d show you a few more unexpected ways to use it—hack, if you will:
If you use your favourite foundation, apply it first, and then apply your concealer.
If you apply your favourite foundation first, you’ll find that you don’t need to use as much concealer then. If you apply concealer first, however, you’ll remove most of it while applying your thick foundation.
The most flattering way to apply concealer is to simply draw a triangle with the base under your eye and the point toward your cheek and cheek bone.
This triangle shape not only conceals your dark circles well, but it also instantly creates the illusion that your face is lifted and better shaped. Think of it as holding a flashlight against your cheek area, shining the light right underneath your eye, and drawing the focus almost upward.
When you start concealing a scary pimple, initially use a green concealer only, and then cover the entire area with a concealer that matches your skin tone perfectly and exactly.
Cancel out a pimple’s dirty redness by normally applying green concealer with a clean brush to only the pimple and not the skin around the pimple to avoid spreading the bacteria there. Now, simply use a cotton swab to dab on a better high-coverage liquid concealer that matches your skin tone to entirely camouflage the pimple now. Blend it into the surrounding skin and finish with simply setting up the powder correctly.
Simply dab an orange- or peach-colour concealer over dark under-eye circles with your ring finger directly.
Using ring finger, which is your weakest finger out of all, will apply just the right amount of required pressure to blend in the taken concealer correctly without pulling at your very delicate eye skin, and the orange one or very peach tones will now completely cancel out the blue shadows that your bad under-eye circles give off to your face. Top the orange or peach formula with a cover-up that matches your skin perfectly.
